Most people are suffering from the PlayStation 3(PS3), YLOD (yellow light of death), common problem. Yellow light of death problem simply indicates that something has gone wrong with the hardware of your PS3 and is not specific to any particular fault. Did this happened to you when you were playing a game for long time and your almost going to win a mission then suddenly freezes, and when you turn your ps3 on it starts with a yellow light then flashing red. If the answer is YES then try applying these tips below:
# Turn off your PlayStation 3 for at least 20 minutes (to allow it to cool down), then turn it on again.
# Check for any loose cables.
# Try taking out your PS3’s hard drive and put it back in.
But if the tips above are not helping then the next thing you have to do is sending your ps3 to Sony… If your PlayStation 3 still under warranty, then you’re in luck because you will get it fixed for free. But if your ps3 is no more under warranty then Sony will charge you $150+ for repairing it and that is a lot of money you’re going to spend there. And you have to wait 2-4 week to get it back…Now that is a long time, where you can repair your PlayStation 3 yellow light of death yourself for just $37, with this amazing guide comparing to Sony you will save up to $100+ in your wallet.
Most people tried this guide and they found it helpful and easy to follow the steps and its risk free so why not give it a try!

I have a Sony Playstation 3, It seems to start powering up then all of the sudden the GREEN light turns YELLOW, and it won’t do anything after that, won’t accept discs or anything. My younger brother opened the unit, and broke the seal on it, now Sony will not touch it, does anyone know where I can get this thing fixed? I live in Kentucky, between Louisville and Bowling Green, I’ll even mail it off somewhere, if they can fix it. Thank You, in advance.
EVEN IF THE WARRENTY SEAL HAS BEEN BROKE? AND SOMEONE’S BEEN INSIDE THE INIT??? DO U KNOW THAT SONY WILL REPAIR IT FOR A FACT? Because they told me over the phone that THEY WON’T TOUCH IT, if the seal has has been broke.

Hi everyone, I’m having a small problem with Sony over a 60GB Playstation 3 Console. Back in december I paid £128 to have my 2 year console replaced by Sony because it developed a hardware fault and it was out of warranty. Over the past four months I have had a wide range of problems with my last three replacement consoles that Sony have sent me.
My first two replacements only lasted for no more then a few days each with the first one having a disc read error and the second overheating. My third replacement lasted me for three months and was working very well until I had a problem with the two of the four USB ports on the front.
I contacted Sony in hope that the problem would be resolved over the phone, I told them I didn’t want to have my console sent off or replaced because I didnt want to lose my data again. They told me that there is nothing they could do apart from to replace it.
I have just received my fourth replacement console yesterday from Sony but this time without a warranty sticker on the bottom. The console itself looks very new as if it has just come off the production line without a single scratch. I have contacted them within 10 minutes of having it delivered to inform them but they are very unhappy with the amount of luck I have had with them. They are telling me they dont understand why it wouldnt be shipped with a warranty sticker as they are all checked before they leave their warehouse. I have explained to them that there isnt even a single residue of the sticker ever being on the console in the place where the warranty sticker is supposed to be. They have now told me that because I have had four replacements its very strange and that they are going to escalate it with their head office and they would may need the console to be sent to them to be checked and evaluated. This is very important as Sony’s policy is that they are not allowed to repair a console under warranty if it has a pealed warranty sticker.
At this point I’m not too sure on what steps to take in order to have everything resolved. I asked them couldnt they simply replace the console again and they have refused to until the head office knows what it is they will do. I wil appreciatete any advice given.
Thank you so much

After my child inserted poker chips into our Sony Playstation I was able to get them out & now we cannot insert a disk at all. It’s like it won’t catch & pull it in like it’s supposed to.Our Warranty is void & cannot get Sony repair. We are positive no more chips are stuck inside. Is there any way to fix this?
Yes we are sure no chips are left inside b/c we opened it & looked. Can we then replace the drive somehow if it is broken?

ok i got my playstation about 2 years ago with no problems and now just about 2 or 3 months ago i got the YLOD and i knew right away that my warrenty was done because of it being past 2 years so i looked online for a repair shop and i found play n trade they fix the YLOD they had my playstation for about a month and 3 weeks and i called them about 2 days ago and the guy gave me the bad news that my ps3 is unfixable i guess since playstaion stopped making the 60gb ones that they dont have the parts anymore now i was just wondering should i call playstation up and tell them this and what do you think they will do, fix it, or give me a already fixed up one?
I just looked at my ps3 and the void sticker on the left side and all it says are the print playstation put on it, it dont say void, void, void all over it so play n trade did not open it up

Hi, hope you can help! My nephew dropped our ps3 on the floor and we tried resetting it ( which helped a bit and will now play for an hour than shut off) . Approximately how much will it cost to repair if I sent it to sony to get fixed.
