Should i buy a playstation 3 with no hard drive. And where can I get a harddrive for a playstion 3 and where can I get it repaired.

Hi everyone, I’m having a small problem with Sony over a 60GB Playstation 3 Console. Back in december I paid £128 to have my 2 year console replaced by Sony because it developed a hardware fault and it was out of warranty. Over the past four months I have had a wide range of problems with my last three replacement consoles that Sony have sent me.

My first two replacements only lasted for no more then a few days each with the first one having a disc read error and the second overheating. My third replacement lasted me for three months and was working very well until I had a problem with the two of the four USB ports on the front.

I contacted Sony in hope that the problem would be resolved over the phone, I told them I didn’t want to have my console sent off or replaced because I didnt want to lose my data again. They told me that there is nothing they could do apart from to replace it.

I have just received my fourth replacement console yesterday from Sony but this time without a warranty sticker on the bottom. The console itself looks very new as if it has just come off the production line without a single scratch. I have contacted them within 10 minutes of having it delivered to inform them but they are very unhappy with the amount of luck I have had with them. They are telling me they dont understand why it wouldnt be shipped with a warranty sticker as they are all checked before they leave their warehouse. I have explained to them that there isnt even a single residue of the sticker ever being on the console in the place where the warranty sticker is supposed to be. They have now told me that because I have had four replacements its very strange and that they are going to escalate it with their head office and they would may need the console to be sent to them to be checked and evaluated. This is very important as Sony’s policy is that they are not allowed to repair a console under warranty if it has a pealed warranty sticker.

At this point I’m not too sure on what steps to take in order to have everything resolved. I asked them couldnt they simply replace the console again and they have refused to until the head office knows what it is they will do. I wil appreciatete any advice given.

ok i already have a xbox 360 arcade should i get a ps3 or upgrade to elite does it have fewer problems price does not matter i am getting 0.00 in spring but which should i get i prefer the one that lasts the longest with out repair.

My ps3 recently stopped working and it costs 200$ for repair, ive been looking online to find some repair guides and no luck. Has anyone bought the repair guide and have a pdf file of it, or does anyone know a link to a forum where has all the information on repairing systems? Please help i dont have 200$ to fix my playstation!!

About a month ago, my Playstation 3 stopped reading any type of disk. I have figured out that my disk drive went dead. This is out of my control and I think that it is a fault in the system. I called Sony about the problem and my warranty was out. I must now pay $150 to get a little 3 month(!) warranty to get it repaired. That is pathetic. I payed $600 for the thing and the problem with the system is the system itself, not any fault of mine.

Do you really think that I should have to pay for this or should Sony replace mine regardless of the warranty?

Do you think that there is a chance or way of me convincing them?

Sony Ps3 Yellow Red Lights Fix repair Guide

After working for all of July, I have made 0. I have been wanting to get a next gen system, besides the wii which i have already. I’m talking about the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360. Now I really have no idea which one to pick. I was going to get the 360 because I heard about how good it was and the games for it are great, just like the PS3’s, but I’ve also heard that sometimes the 360 freezes and my 3 of my friends who own a 360 had to send theirs in for repair a few times. All I really want is the system with better graphics and with the best longevity/lifespan. So tell me, if you were in my shoes, which system would you buy and for what reason is that system better than the other.

I got error code 80010514, and i have to send it in. Do i need to save all my game files? Do they save your files? do they give you a new playstation 3? Any help would be good. Thanks

does any one know if it`s possible to get a playstation 3 repaired in rotherham area.it seems like fan is not coming on and will not read the cd when inserted
