What happens with the PlayStation 3 is that over time the heat generated by the Cell processor and the Graphics processor causes the wires that connect everything to the Motherboard to melt off. This cuts off communication between the parts and causes your PS3 to display a Yellow Light of Death (YLOD).
Now unfortunately most of the time this happens when your warranty is expired, which seems like a brilliant master plan by Sony to take your money. They charge you anywhere around $200 plus taxes and shipping to get it fixed.
The good news is that we show you how to easily fix it yourself. There is absolutely nothing hard or tedious about it, all you need to do is follow our easy to read guide and within 40 minutes or LESS you will be back playing your PS3. You don’t need any technical knowledge what so ever, anyone can do it.
We provide you with the ultimate step by step guide with pictures and videos on how to fix your PS3 in under 40 minutes!

Hey! Got troubles with your PS3? Do you have the Yellow light of death error? It’s quite a hard problem to solve, and exactly for that reason many people will tell you to send your console over to Sony, but is there an other way to fix this problem?
• It took me and hour and a half to repair
• It was safe and easy
What is inside the package:
Videos- There are videos, each one differently explaining the way to fix the Yellow or Red light
Guides- The guide is VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD.
Go ahead and download, with step by step instructions, it should be a piece of cake! I’ve done it, so can you.

I’m from Canada and I will send my PS3 for repair. I have a 60GB PlayStation which I found out to be the defective one that has been released October to December of 2006.
I received a free shipping box (Which I think it’s not free due to the fact that I will pay 9 CAD) Anyways, my only concern is how should I pay?
I posted the instruction here: http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u272/mercymarcymincy/PlayStationRepairPaperBack.jpg
Read the part "FOR OUT OF WARRANTY SERVICE"
I want to pay using credit card, but by them saying that I must attach it by giving my Credit Card Number and Expiration date which is relatively insecure, then I’m having second thoughts.
Is it safe?

Hi,
Please help me. Today I bought Madden 09 Collector’s Edition at Gamestop. I am having trouble loading it. I put in the disc and nothing comes up. NFL Head Coach works perfectly and so do every other game i have for my Playstation 3. I just dont know whether to return the game, have my PS3 repaired or something else. Thank you for your time and please comment or answer or give suggestions.
Thank you

My friend bought a PlayStation 3 (60 Gig Version) online from another person for 0+ sometime ago. The unit worked fine for a while, but then ended up displaying a blue screen and nothing else. He offered me the PS3 for 0 and told me I could get it repaired for about 0, depending on the problem. Should I buy it and send it to get repaired or simply buy a new one? Please give me some reasons too. Thanks.
