playstation 3 broken repair options?
alright so i found out that my ps3 disc drive is all fucked up so i called sony their like o ur warranty is up u will have to pay 150 freaking bucks, ive going had it for about 2 years its BS and im not pay 0 to replace it unless they up grade it, idc what they say if it gets lost in the mail some how they will just make something up and say it was my falt, so i was just wondering if game stop would fix it for me or some other game store

Get a Thermal Compoud for around $30. Take apart your ps3. And get your motherboard,(Green looking board) then put the thermal compund on there. BTW you spray it and let it cool down. Then, Attach your ps3 back again. Watch this video on helping you do it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o19wnN0nPAQ
Really there is no other option that i know of. The is alway an option of "Do it yourself" but dont attempt it unless you know what you are doing. I mean 150 a pop is not all that bad. what i did with my ps3 i sold it on criagslist for 200 and bought another one off that site for 300 with games. Well that worked out for me. But i would do the 150 and it will probly come with a 90 day warrenty incase they did someing bad to it. Well hope this helped.
P.S i dont know the cost o the blu ray drive but google it and you will find out
