When I bought it, it said, Playstation 3 Repair as is……does that mean I need to repair it when I get it?

ok, i had to send in my ps3 for repair, when i got it back it was a brand new ps3, i lost my 10th prestige account an i want it back, i forgot the emial and password, is there any way to get the account back?

i am going to send in my ps3 for repair cuz i got the ylod on my 60 gig. what do i need to send in to the people that are going to repair my console? i.e. av cables, power cord, controllers. the name of the people that i am going to send it in to is psr1.com i dont know if anyone has tried this place before. but any info will help. thanx

I have a Sony Playstation 3, It seems to start powering up then all of the sudden the GREEN light turns YELLOW, and it won’t do anything after that, won’t accept discs or anything. My younger brother opened the unit, and broke the seal on it, now Sony will not touch it, does anyone know where I can get this thing fixed? I live in Kentucky, between Louisville and Bowling Green, I’ll even mail it off somewhere, if they can fix it. Thank You, in advance.
EVEN IF THE WARRENTY SEAL HAS BEEN BROKE? AND SOMEONE’S BEEN INSIDE THE INIT??? DO U KNOW THAT SONY WILL REPAIR IT FOR A FACT? Because they told me over the phone that THEY WON’T TOUCH IT, if the seal has has been broke.

I called Sony, and said I lost my receipt, and they gave me a number which is 1800-883-8895.

They asked me for my name, and phone number, and the serial code. I gave them the information and they said they will send my reciept to Sony by 3 days.

So how will I know when Sony recieves my reciept, and after that should I send my PS3 in, after 3 days?

And I live in Canada, so should I call UPS? And do I tell them to send my PS3 to sony? What information would they want though?

I bought it from target and i dont have the receipt. It keeps freezing and disconnecting. Is It a problem w/ my game(Call of duty4), ps3, or internet connection?

and i was rely hoping i could play and it told me that the hard drive "MUST" be restarted and i did no was not an option so it erased all my memory and now it wont let me play PLEASE HELP my dad payed 0$ it gives me a error 80010201 wat do i do?

Its been over 2 weeks now and my family is in complete chaos because our PS3 system had crashed ~ giving off that constant annoying blinking red light that follows after a Yellow light i’ve never seen before!

During this time, my brothers and I have tried to get in contact with Sony to get some help with fixing our PS3 problem, but we have yet to receive any notice in the mail or reply from them, with instructions on what to do.

At this rate, it would be better to do either two things, 1. Save up enough money to buy and brand new PS3 or 2. Find a reliable PS3 Repair Guide online, in which my brother whose a technician can fix it for us.

I would opt for the second option because if it can mess up once, it can mess up again and again! I want this problem solved without having to spend an arm and a leg to do so.

If anyone have any suggestions on where I can go, or what I can look at in order to get detailed instructions about fixing my PS3 start-up error. Please leave a reply ~ It would be easier to purchase a guide that only cost and I get the parts and tools off ebay, than to wait 2-4weeks for Sony to send help, and I still have to pay 0 + tax in order for them to repair my system.

ive had a 360 for 3 years and its broken twice…both took more than a month to repair…and i spent a lot of money on live even though it keeps overheating so i have to wait a couple more days to play…im a big online shooter fan (not halo though) and i heard ps3s barely break and that the onlines free. Basically is a ps3 right for me?
